PADI Drift Diver Specialty

Who it’s for:

For certified divers who want to experience the exhilaration of drifting with the current during a dive.

What you’ll learn:

• Planning and executing drift dives safely
• Using surface marker buoys (SMBs) and signaling devices
• Coordinating with a boat or shore support
• Navigating with the current and staying with your group

Course Structure:

Includes two open water drift dives, usually conducted in current-prone areas under instructor supervision.

Location:

Drift dives are scheduled in areas such as Key Largo where strong currents are suitable for training.

Course Duration:

1 Day

Prerequisites:

• Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
• Minimum age: 12 years

Includes instructor, tanks, weights, and SMBs. Full gear rental available.
